Two Months of Staying Home

Two Months of Staying Home

This May 16, 2020, is exactly two months since I’ve been doing things from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In Indonesia it’s not called quarantine, the President names it PSBB (Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar or Large-scale Social Restrictions). Let’s to not talk about the President, I’m afraid my head will burst.

It’s odd to see people who are adapting to the new habit of staying home because that’s what I’ve been doing for years. Struggling between domestic activity and what I think I desire to do most. People are swiftly twisted. While I slowly distorted.

During the pandemic, I go out at least once a week for weekly shopping. Sometimes more than once when I need to go to the nearest kiosks. Yesterday I went out a bit far because I needed to see doctors. Two doctors in a row. Finally, I got around a bit far and at the same time, enjoy the city atmosphere. Is it true that the restriction is done in a large-scale or just lip service?

Thought we have the answer.

Inhoftank crossroad is crowded.

Leuwipanjang Bus Station is deserted. Usually, this station is already crowded seven days before the Eid as people go to their hometown.

Check point at gateway Kopo.

Future is blur

But I promise myself to stay healthy and shine. I’ll check out from here (the pandemic) with my chin up.
