A Cupid from Mekarwangi

A Cupid from Mekarwangi

Every February, Arabesque Ballet Studio (ABS) holds Graduation. This event is a graduation show of the ABS students who have participated in the ATOD International Exam in November of the previous year.

Cupid brings flute, made of rolling newspaper.

ABS at least holds two regular annual show programs, namely Graduation in February and Gala Performance in August. Gala Performance is prepared by the studio, while Graduation is kinda casual in which parents are free to create for their children’s appearance.

This year the graduation is quite special. We, the moms of the Mekarwangi’s students Grade 1 feel more enthusiastic than in the previous year. Maybe because this is the third time the kids performed at the Graduation, so moms also have got more familiar to any fun detail of this event. Our kids get the Cupid dance. Thus, a few weeks before the day we got busy discussing all supporting stuff for the children on the stage later.

The headpieces. The gold one is made of plastic spoon, sprayed with gold pylox.

Best Costume! We’re gonna duplicate this trophy as the kids keep asking why there is one trophy only. Hihi…
Daya got a bronze medal for her ATOD test (Grade 1). Congratulations, kiddo.
